About Us!
Our Crest
Our acronym is CAEC. It is pronounced “cake” because it is very special and has some amazing ingredients! And we think it is rather delicious!
Our crest was designed to show the parts of our church that are important. Those elements are also in the name of our church.

The Community part is in the upper right quadrant of the crest. It shows our inclusivity. All are welcome here! I’m afraid that it doesn’t show as well as we had hoped, but there is a rainbow in the middle of the hands because, yes, we are gay affirming. We are everybody affirming! Work in the community is especially important to us, so we put that first in our name.

The Apostolic part is the lower right quadrant, where we depict the dove in the flame of the Holy Spirit. This is also something we hold very dear.

The Episcopal part is the upper left of the crest and the entire crest is divided into quadrants with the Anglican red cross. Both important parts of who we are.

The Church part, of course, is the lower left. Christ centred living is important to us. We believe in Jesus Christ, His birth, baptism, transfiguration, crucifixion, resurrection and ascension and we preach the two great commandments that Jesus taught: Love God, Love your neighbour.
